In this video we meet a totally adorable little black kitten named Tetley.
She was found on the streets all alone at two weeks old and was brought to the animal shelter in a teabox, which is why she was given the name Tetley!
At two weeks old, motherless kittens require round-the-clock care, which includes bottle feeding, grooming, and of course help with going to the bathroom.
Every year, thousands of orphan baby kittens end up in animal shelters and sadly, these shelters don’t have the resources to cope with the round the clock care that young kittens need.
Tetley is being fostered at the same time as Chloe, they were both in need and it’s great for them to be together, for company and help each other learn about what it’s like to be a cat.
They do not remember being with their mother which is why fostering is an important part of animal rescue.
Fostering is fun, fulfilling and heartwarming. It only takes a couple of weeks to give that tiny kitten a springboard into a better life.
Tetley is being fostered by the fabulous Hannah Shaw, aka Kitten Lady, she has dedicated her life to finding innovative ways to protect animals.
She strives to create global change in the way we perceive and treat the tiniest and most vulnerable felines: orphaned kittens.
Fostering gives kittens like Tetley the only chance they have to survive!
