Despite her efforts to be kind to everyone, Wampler shares that the other girls at her school were often unkind to her. She recounts feeling isolated and spending lunchtimes alone, making it her least favorite part of the school day.

“The prettiest girls are often the absolutely loneliest, most torn apart, bullied girls,” she said. The influencer asserted that the only person who genuinely connected with her was another girl, who bore a striking resemblance to a “walking Barbie doll.”

Karissa recounted that the girl confided in her, explaining that the bullying stemmed from jealousy toward her appearance rather than her personality.

Until she attended university, Karissa felt there was something inherently flawed about herself, but she found that the emphasis on looks diminished in that environment.

Yet, despite amassing over 770,000 likes on TikTok, her video sparked division among viewers. Some argued in the comments that the opposite is true.

One user expressed disagreement, stating: “I’d have to disagree. Pretty girls get treated way nicer, get paid more, get given stuff for free all of the time, etc.”

Another shared: “My best friend is literally stunning and definitely not lonely,” while a third commented: “Actually, that quiet kid that you completely didn’t even notice is the loneliest. They suffer the most. Not you.”

But others agreed, writing: “I felt the exact same way in school,” as someone else explained: “Girls don’t like you so they throw you under the bus and guys only want one thing so you’re constantly asking yourself if people are really your friends.”
