Christ the King – 1
Almighty and everlasting God,
after You had created heaven and earth,
and all the living beings,
plants and animals,
then You created man.
You made him king of Your whole creation.
You put everything in the whole round world at his disposal.
You gave to him alone,
of all the creatures on this earth,
the power to think and the power to will.
Everything else was made to serve man.
Then, when man sinned,
You sent Your Son to be the King of mankind,
and the Redeemer of the human race.
He is now King,
not only of mankind,
but of the whole universe.
He is the “firstborn of every creature.”
He is our King,
and everything that we have is made and given us to serve Him.
We are to use it,
not in selfishness and greed,
but in gratitude and generosity,
realizing that we are all subjects of the great King Jesus.
Help us to keep this in mind,
as we plough His fields,
lent to us for a time,
and as we reap His crops,
given to us by His generous hand.
Help us to use with care the goods He here gives us,
so that we may gain the eternal goods
that He has won for us.
Help us always and everywhere to be good,
loyal subjects of Christ, our King,
so that we may be with Him,
our victor and King,
forever in heaven.
Amen.
Christ the King – 2
O Lord our God,
You alone are the Most Holy King and Ruler of all nations.
We pray to You, Lord,
in the great expectation of receiving from You,
O Divine King, mercy, peace, justice and all good things.
Protect, O Lord our King, our families and the land of our birth.
Guard us we pray Most Faithful One.
Protect us from our enemies and from Your Just Judgment
Forgive us, O Sovereign King, our sins against you.
Jesus, You are a King of Mercy.
We have deserved Your Just Judgment
Have mercy on us, Lord, and forgive us.
We trust in Your Great Mercy.
O most awe-inspiring King, we bow before You and pray;
May Your Reign, Your Kingdom, be recognized on earth.
Amen.
Christ the King – 3
Let us all with one voice cry, Lord, have mercy.
Thou who wert led as a sheep to be crucified,
Lord, have mercy.
Thou who from the Cross didst look down upon Thy Mother and Thy disciple,
look with pity from heaven upon us,
Lord, have mercy.
Thou who by shedding Thy blood hast redeemed the world,
Lord, have mercy.
Thou who didst commend Thy spirit to the Father,
Lord, have mercy.
Make us by Thy Cross to obtain forgiveness,
Lord, have mercy.
Christ, the only-begotten Son of the unbegotten Father,
who this day was slain for us,
the innocent for the ungodly,
remember the price of Thy Blood
and blot out the sins of all Thy people;
and as Thou west pleased to endure for us reproaches,
spitting, bonds, blows, the scourge,
the Cross, the nails, the bitter cup,
death, the spear, and lastly burial,
vouchsafe to us wretched ones,
for whom Thou didst suffer this,
the infinite blessedness of the heavenly kingdom,
that we who bow down in reverence for Thy Passion
may be raised up to things heavenly
in the joys of Thy resurrection.
Amen.
Christ the King – 4
Hail, sweet Jesus!
Praise, honor, and glory be to Thee, O Christ,
who of Thine own accord didst embrace death,
and, recommending Thyself to Thy heavenly Father,
bowing down Thy venerable head, didst yield up Thy spirit.
Truly thus giving up Thy life for Thy sheep,
Thou hast shown Thyself to be a good shepherd.
Thou didst die, O only-begotten Son of God.
Thou didst die, O my beloved Saviour, that I might live forever.
O how great hope,
how great confidence have I reposed in Thy death and Thy Blood!
I glorify and praise Thy Holy Name,
acknowledging my infinite obligations to Thee.
O good Jesus,
by Thy bitter death and Passion,
give me grace and pardon.
Give unto the faithful departed rest and life everlasting.
Amen.
Christ the King – 5
O Christ, who for us didst take upon Thyself
the yoke of the Cross and of death,
so as to drive from us the power of death
and to free us at the cost of Thy Blood,
have mercy upon me,
who am Thy most lowly servant,
and grant me pardon for all my sins,
and rescue from all evils me who lie prostrate before Thine adorable Cross,
and mercifully establish me again in Thy benefits.
Amen.

Christ Jesus, I acknowledge You King of the universe.
All that has been created has been made for You.
Make full use of Your rights over me.
I renew the promises I made in Baptism,
when I renounced Satan and all his pomps and works,
and I promise to live a good Christian life
and to do all in my power
to procure the triumph of the rights of God
and Your Church.
Divine Heart of Jesus,
I offer you my efforts
in order to obtain that all hearts
may acknowledge your Sacred Royalty,
and that thus the Kingdom of Your peace
may be established throughout the universe.
Amen.
Christ the King – 7
O Jesus Christ,
I acknowledge Thee as universal King.
All that has been made,
has been created for Thee.
Exercise all Thy rights over me.
I renew my baptismal vows,
renouncing Satan, his pomps and his works;
and I promise to live as a good Christian.
In particular do I plege myself to labour,
to the best of my ability,
for the triumph of the rights of God and Thy Church.
Divine Heart of Jesus,
to Thee do I proffer my poor services,
labouring that all hearts may acknowledge Thy Sacred Kingship,
and that thus the reign of Thy peace
be established throughout the whole universe.
Amen.
