Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have been somewhat private about their son since his birth, sharing only glimpses like the back of little Rocky Thirteen’s head in photos.
Yet, they’ve been surprisingly open about the more private aspects of their lives around the time of his arrival last November.
We’ve learned quite a bit, including how their son was conceived, Kardashian trying her own breast milk, and her doctor’s unusual advice that consuming her husband’s semen ‘four times a week’ could enhance her fertility.
Add to that their public displays of affection at a wedding and their choice to keep a vial of each other’s blood.
It seems privacy is a thing of the past, doesn’t it?
With all these personal disclosures, hearing that they engaged in some intimacy during labor might not seem too surprising.
The 45-year-old reality star disclosed on a recent episode of The Kardashians that she and her 48-year-old rocker husband took action when her labor stalled.
She shared that after feeling contractions, they went to the hospital only to discover she was just 3cm dilated and progress had paused.
“I have been in this hospital room overnight and nothing is happening,” Kardashian recounted. “I was three centimetres dilated up until 4am and then nothing progressed.”
“I am not feeling stressed but then another part of me feels like, ‘Did we come too early?’”
In response, Kardashian and Barker decided to return home and see if they could naturally speed things along.
The founder of Poosh added: “We went home, ate at Crossroads, showered, slept in our bed and then we had sex to get things going, to see if that helps. That can help sometimes.”
It’s unclear if it was effective, but shortly after, Rocky safely arrived in the world as Kardashian went into active labor just before midnight on October 31, 2023.
The mom, who has Mason, 14, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 9, with her ex Scott Disick, welcomed her fourth child at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on November 1.
Travis also has two children, Alabama, 18, and Landon, 20, from his previous marriage to Shanna Moakle
