Nokia 9.3 Pureview 5G Launch to be delayed again
A premium smartphone is yet to be launched by Nokia in 2020.. According to a source, PureView Nokia 9.3 will be launched before the end of the year. In light of some recent knowledge collected by Nokia Anew, which doesn’t seem to be the case. It seems like the official announcement of Nokia 9.3 PureView has been postponed once more.
While Nokia Anew has prophesied on many occasions that the Nokia 9.3 PureView will also be unveiled in 2020, other Nokia-centric leaks have been comparatively spot-on. The Nokia 7.3 5G and Nokia 6.3 is due to be launched alongside the Nokia 9.3 PureView, however their status at this point remains an open question. A late 2020 arrival for the mid-rangers could also be seen.
Will HMD have a role in launching Nokia 9.3 Pureview
The Nokia 9.3 PureView hardware is being refreshed by HMD Global. The question still remains the same. Although the Snapdragon 865 is still a strong chipset, it will not sit well with a lot of users to launch a smartphone powered by it in 2021, particularly when Snapdragon 875-powered smartphones are already on the market.
The odds of HMD Global shipping the Nokia 9.3 PureView with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 are sadly poor. In all probability, the company has already begun making the handset, and it is not possible to change a key feature like the mid-production SoC. Would the Nokia 9.3 PureView have what it takes for heavyweights like the Galaxy S21 and Xiaomi Mi 11 series to contend within the forthcoming Q1 2021. Probably not. So at the very end, HMD Global should approach the cheap flagship market, which even OnePlus appears to no longer think for.
