Even though the cast for “Black Mirror” Season 6 was just revealed, it’s becoming more and more obvious that the long wait was well worth it. Right now, everything seem to be back on track for Charlie Brooker’s show, and what a track that is after dealing with a rights issue for a time. It’s obvious that the upcoming season’s cast will easily live up to “Black Mirror’s” customary all-star standards, with “Breaking Bad” legend Aaron Paul, “Pearl Harbor” star Josh Harnett, “Deadpool 2” breakout Zazie Beetz, and “American Horror Story: Murder House” star Kate Mara among the cast’s notable members. The strikes appear to be coming nonstop as well. Rory Culkin, who is known for his roles in “Under the Banner of Heaven” and “Castle Rock,” was previously mentioned as being involved in the project by Deadline. Now, it appears that two more well-known actors are in talks to appear in “Black Mirror” Season 6.
Black Mirror Season 6 might include Salma Hayek and Annie Murphy:
Salma Hayek and Annie Murphy, according Variety, are being considered to join the already sizable cast of “Black Mirror” Season 6. Perennial A-lister Hayek and “Schitt’s Creek” actor Murphy will add to what already appears to be a very star-studded season of the dystopian sci-fi programme, should the discussions have a successful conclusion. Hayek is a well-known dramatic and humorous actor who has also been associated with genre fiction in the past. She made her screen debut in 1996’s horror action thriller “From Dusk to Dawn” as Santanico Pandemonium, and more recently, in Chloe Zhao’s 2021 Marvel Cinematic Universe feature “Eternals,” she played the role of the titular group’s leader, Ajak. Murphy has also dabbled in other genres with programmes including the renowned Netflix original “Russian Doll” and the sci-fi procedural “Beauty & the Beast.” Together, the two would undoubtedly take “Black Mirror” to a new level, adding to the great performers who are already committed to the sixth season.
For Black Mirror season 6, Hayek Pinault and Murphy would join a lengthy roster of distinguished performers:
Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Zazie Beetz (Atlanta, Joker), Paapa Essiedu (Gangs of London), Josh Hartnett (Black Hawk Down, Penny Dreadful), Kate Mara (House of Cards), Danny Ramirez (Top Gun: Maverick), Clara Rugaard (The Rising), Auden Thornton (This Is Us), and Anjana Vasan are just a few of the cast members who have already been revealed (We Are Lady Parts). The younger brother of Macaulay and Kieran Culkin, Rory Culkin (Signs), has joined the cast of the show.
It will be a while before season six is released because the new season is still in the casting phase. Fans are already aware that the upcoming season would have more than three episodes, making it lengthier than season 5. Despite significant changes behind the scenes, the new season is anticipated to debut on Netflix as well. Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones, the creators of Black Mirror, have established their own production company, Broke and Bones, which will oversee the science fiction show’s production moving forward. This firm was founded in 2019, the year the previous season of Black Mirror was released.
