Ivan Busheski’s penthouse, which was raided by the police on New Year’s Eve has more drama to it. The party was robbed this week by four men who apparently stormed in with a gun and knife.
The burglary scene
On Wednesday, the NYPD got a 911 call for a burglary in process at the Soho penthouse at 177 Prince Street. There were 8 victims inside, who later stated that 4 men entered the location, pointed a gun at the people, and took away property from them. Busheski later said that they tried to rob him and perhaps kill him. A neighbor described the situation as a crime scene from a TV show.
The security after the burglary
The helicopters from NYPD kept hovering until 1.30 a.m. and the street was closed for about 3 hours. Cops were on surveillance on roofs and going into other buildings, focusing on rooftops. The entire area was put on high security.
Previous charges on Busheski
Ivan was previously charged with hosting a large party for New Year which was a direct violation of the rules of social distancing. He believes he was targeted because of the infamous party. The burglars asked him where the safe. They were looking for money. Reports claim that the robbers wore ski masks, gloves. 3 of them were new and one of them looked homeless. Ivan also feels like one of them had been in the apartment. A friend of Busheski called the cops from the bathroom where he was hiding.
Two men, Ramon Reyes and Michael Cruz were arrested and charged with robbery, burglary, criminal possession of a weapon among other charges. There was no report of any serious injuries but the investigation is still going on.
