Viewers Are Calling On Netflix To Remove The ‘Most Demonic And Depressing Movie’ They’ve Ever Seen

When someone truly doesn’t enjoy a movie, they usually just advise others not to watch it.

Do I believe you should watch it, then? Not really. However, do you think you ought to be able to watch it if you so choose? Yes, without a doubt.

Some Netflix users are getting so ‘depressed’ about a certain movie that they’re not simply advising you to avoid it.

They’re requesting that Netflix remove it completely from the service.

Hundreds of replies on a post on the Netflix Bangers Facebook group echoed this idea. Regarding their desire to see the movie taken down, fans appeared to agree unanimously.

Some movies, like Sierra Burgess Is a Loser, are ones I’d be pleased to see removed from Netflix if I had to pick.

However, the picture we are discussing is now the most popular movie on the platform.

The Deliverance is the name of the film. Since its premiere over the weekend, it has topped Netflix’s charts consistently.

Here’s a look at the trailer:

A Netflix Bangers fan wrote: “Stop recommending The Deliverance! It’s 2hrs of your life you can never get back!”

As “the most demonic depressing movie” they had ever watched, the group’s second popular tweet demanded that it be “removed” from Netflix.

The Deliverance is a fanciful account of a real-life woman who claimed to have seen “shadowy spirits” repeatedly with her children.

The movie, which was directed by Precious star Lee Daniels, has had a highly mixed reception.

Some viewers angrily criticized it, while others described it as an emotional and horrifying experience.

One user replied, “I agree! ” in the comments section of the Netflix Bangers page, which was asking people to cease promoting the movie. “I know it’s based on true events, but everyone saying it was fantastic. I watched it and I was like wtf lol.”

“I was so excited to watch it lol wasn’t that good to me either,” said another commenter.

However, several viewers defended the movie.

“It’s inspired by true events,” said one person. “Soooo if folks can’t stomach the truth, it’s definitely not for them.”

And another added: “Sorry, but that is just your opinion, doesn’t mean everyone else feels the same. People can watch whatever they want to, if I waste 2 hours of my life, it’s on me. Nobody forced me to do it, and it gives me no reason to yell at other people.”

Netflix now has The Deliverance available for viewing.
