A recent TikTok video showcasing a new McDonald’s restaurant in a remote location in Saint-François, Laval, Quebec, has gone viral. The restaurant’s peculiar placement in the midst of a farm field has sparked widespread curiosity and theories about potential future developments in the area.
McDonald’s, a globally recognized fast-food chain, operates in over 100 countries with around 36,000 outlets.
These outlets are typically situated in bustling, populated areas – after all, a Big Mac meal is most in demand where people abound.
Yet, this newly opened McDonald’s stands out due to its unusual location – seemingly in the middle of the Canadian countryside, far from the usual urban setting.
Located at 8075 Avenue Marcel-Villeneuve, the Saint-François, Laval, Quebec McDonald’s recently opened its doors.
In a Facebook post, the restaurant announced, “Officially open for business. Our staff awaits you at our new restaurant at 8075 Marcel-Villeneuve, Laval.”
Expressing his enthusiasm, McDonald’s Jéremy Lévy shared, “I am delighted to be involved with the community of Saint-François on the occasion of this opening. Growing up with a father who is also a McDonald’s franchisee, I have had the opportunity to see him actively involved in the communities in which he operates his restaurants. Today, I am very excited to follow in his footsteps and get involved in the same way.”
This new restaurant has only been open for a week, but it’s already gained attention thanks to a TikTok video by @thumbs.up.canuck.
The TikToker expressed his bewilderment upon discovering the new “Maccies” in his vicinity, which was surprising enough to make him delay his usual run for a burger and fries.
The most baffling part for him seemed to be the location of this McDonald’s, in addition to its apparent lack of electricity.
While filming the restaurant from his car, he commented: “It’s literally in the middle of a farm field. It’s surrounded by farm, and there’s not even electricity yet. They’re running the damn place on a generator! That’s crazy!”
The TikTok video quickly racked up over 37,000 views, sparking a flurry of conspiracy theories.
Some viewers speculated that McDonald’s Canada’s corporate team might know something the public doesn’t.
One user suggested, “Then you know what’s coming they wouldn’t put it there for nothing.”
Another added, “In two years it will be surrounded by houses strategically planned.”
A third user observed, “All the surrounding farms are about to be purchased and sold to developers.”
Other comments hinted that the area is on the brink of development, with McDonald’s being the first to set up shop.
This enigmatic TikTok video has turned the rural McDonald’s into a topic of widespread discussion.
Social media buzz is adding layers to the McDonald’s story, intriguing more people.
There’s growing curiosity about whether this countryside McDonald’s is simply an oddity or a harbinger of major developments in the area.
Online chatter is transforming this initially puzzling McDonald’s into a symbol of potential transformation in the tranquil Canadian countryside.
