Christmas is almost here, and to make it even more exciting, the McCallister kids from Home Alone have reunited, more than 30 years after the first movie came out.
Home Alone is a holiday favorite, loved by many families.
It’s been 34 years since Home Alone was released. The movie tells the story of a young boy who tricks two robbers with a bunch of traps, which, let’s face it, would have seriously hurt anyone else in real life.
In the movie, Kevin McCallister (played by Macaulay Culkin, or Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin, if we’re using his full legal name) is accidentally left behind by his family when they go to Paris for Christmas.
Once they realize they’ve forgotten Kevin in the attic, the family goes through a series of events trying to get back to him.
Funny enough, this isn’t the last time the family forgets about Kevin. In Home Alone 2, he ends up alone in New York City.
In the first movie, Kevin beats Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern), and then he’s reunited with his parents and siblings. Now, all the siblings have come together to remember their time on set.
At Pandora’s Box Toys & Collectibles in New Jersey, five of the “kids” (now grown-ups) met up to take photos and talk to fans about the movie.
There was Buzz (Devin Ratray), Heather (Kristin Minter), Jeff (Michael C. Moronna), Linnie (Angela Goethals), and Rod (Jedidiah Cohen).
Funny enough, at the event, one fan showed Maronna a tattoo of Kevin’s face on their leg.
Sadly, Culkin wasn’t there, but fans were still happy.
The venue shared pictures from the event, showing how fans reacted to the cast, on Instagram.
The caption read: “Guys, I’m eating junk and watching rubbish! You better come out and stop me!!!”
“Today’s event was so much fun! Thank you to Devin Ratray @devinratray, Kristin Minter @kristin_minter, Michael C Maronna, Angela Goethals @g0ethals, Jed Cohen, and everyone who came out to meet them and celebrate their Home Alone fandom with us today here at @pandorasboxtoysandcollectibles.
“This was the first time they had all been together in over 30 years!”
In other news, if you haven’t seen the Home Alone 3 ‘trailer,’ you’re missing out.
A parody trailer called Kevin’s Revenge has been released, showing what it would be like if the Wet Bandits got out of prison and decided to mess with Kevin again.
Old Harry and Marv, along with a middle-aged Kevin, are seen causing trouble again, and it’s just like the classic scenes.
Of course, it’s not real. The trailer uses clips from different movies and some tricky editing to make it look real.
But how awesome would it be if it were real? Whoever put together this trailer for fun is a legend in my eyes.
