Instead Of Asking For Toys For Christmas, 8-Year Old Gives Shelter Animals 600lbs Of Food

One of Santa’s cutest helpers gave lots of dogs and cats a very special Christmas this year.

8-year-old Landyn Wadsworth’s Christmas wish was to help the dogs and cats living at the Tri-Cities Animal Shelter in Paso, Washington have a great Christmas and provide them with much needed items.

So instead of toys she asked for money and also began raising funds to buy dog and cat food and other supplies.  She raised enough to deliver a giant stack of food and supplies on Christmas Eve.  Santa must have been proud because the stack goods was taller than she is.  Plus she had a huge Christmas sack bulging with supplies for the animals.

From the Tri-Cities Shelter Facebook page:

“Landyn’s wish for Christmas was food donations for the shelter and it looks like her wish came true!! We are so grateful for your kindness and I’m sure the dogs and cats are too!!”

This is the 3rd year that Landyn has collected gifts for the shelter.  It all began after she visited the shelter in 2016 and was sad that so many animals didn’t have homes for Christmas her mom Alisha reported to KEPR.

Landyn is a remarkable young lady with a huge heart.  She has already begun to collect money for next year.
