The Grammy winner singer-songwriter Christopher Cross finally expressed his deadliest battle against COVID19. The five times Grammy Awardee, Cross shared his experience with the deadly virus, Coronavirus by stating that it left him temporarily paralyzed, and battling against the virus was his darkest days ever experienced in his life.

Cross, who along with his girlfriend was tested positive for coronavirus after a trip together to Mexico City. They both were unwell for around three weeks in April after they were tested positive. Eventually, Cross was paralyzed and rested in ICU for more than ten days.

It was reported that the virus had influenced Cross even worse when it was believed that Guillain Barre Syndrome had caused him to pass through it. He got to know about this syndrome after one day while returning from the supermarket to home, his legs gave out suddenly.

Christopher Cross, an American singer-songwriter from Texas, who is best recognized for his works “Ride Like the Wind”, “Sailing”, and “Arthur’s Theme( Best That You Can Do), has recently expressed his complication with coronavirus during an interview with “CBS Sunday Morning”, which is to broadcast on 18th October.

He also shared his emotions about beating the virus by saying “It was the worst ten days of my life. And I couldn’t walk, could barely move. It was the darkest of times for me, you know? It was touch-and-go and tough.”

As per his statements, the paralysis will be temporary and he is still recovering and thereby first used a wheelchair and now using a cane to walk around. However, he said he still doesn’t know if he can completely recover from this or not.

So yeah, my walking is affected, my speech at times can be affected. Memory is a big deal too. Just neurologically I’m a kinda little foggy.”

Nevertheless, he still got hope and stated “Most of the people with Guillain-Barre heal about 90%-100% over about a year. That is what my prediction is.

He said he was begging for help wherever he could find it during those darkest moments. “I could tell you that I had a few conversations when I was in there with whoever He or She is, and just saying, if you could just get me out of here, then I will be a better person.”

Cross was more worried when he thought about the fear that he could never perform again besides his fight to walk again. In the intention to help others, Cross opened up one more thing by remarking that “I’m not a big celebrity, but people need to know that you can get this disease. And so, I felt it was sorta my obligation to share this issue with people. Look, this is a big deal! Like you have got to wear your mask. You have to take care of each other. Because this could happen to you.”
