BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky What to expect in the movie?

Netflix Original K-pop Group Documentary. Their discovery by YG Entertainment, the years of intense training followed by an almost startling rise to fame, Blackpink: Light Up the Sky deep dive into the never-before-seen aspects of the lifestyles of these pop idols. The director behind Samin Nosrat’s Salt, Fat, Acid Heat, Caroline Suh, written and directed the 79-minute film that debuted on October 14.  By using archival footage with one-on-one interviews of the group’s members at their sensitive best, Suh follows the standard documentary genre. Besides emotional interviews with Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé, features of Light Up the Sky look at the childhoods of the member and never before seen footage from their rise to the top of the world of music. Scenes of the girls responding to old audition videos, Jennie sharing a joke with her fitness instructor at a costume trial, Jinsoo ‘s journey to her make-up artist, and the two making caramelized fruits in their dorm make sure the film’s pace never slopes. It’s the first-hand accounts that hit the spot, personify them, and relay the stars, merely as though we are.  Do watch the movie and comment on us here!!
