Matthew McConaughey

Matthew McConaughey reveals in his new book that he was allegedly sexually abused multiple times as a teen. He was apparently blackmailed into having sex for the first time by his then-girlfriend when he was 15 and “was certain that I was going to Hell for the premarital sex”, the “White Boy Rick” actor stated. The 50-year-old actor opens up and has written about his first sexual experiences in his newly published explosive autobiography, “Greenlight’s”, and now, he merely hopes he is forgiven and is certain that it will not happen. The Oscar winner also announced that he was forcefully molested by a man when he was 18 and was knocked unconscious in the back of a black van. Though he never discloses any details about both cases of abuse, he confesses that he has never once felt like a victim, as “I have a lot of proof that the world is conspiring to make me happy.” The wedded father of 3 children also exposes details about parent’s tumultuous relationship even after marriage- they had been married thrice, divorced twice, and have had lethal arguments that had lead to the extent of inflicting physical wounds and breaking bones. The “Interstellar” star wrote that his father, James, passed away in 1992, soon after he had made love to the actor’s mother.

Matthew’s Career Life and Ignorance Of His Past

On a much lighter scale, the actor also shared few moments from his acting career, revealing that he had rejected a humungous paycheck so that he could do more dramatic roles than that of romantic comedies. Refreshing his rom-com era by his performances in “Fool’s Gold”, “How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days”‘ “Failure To Launch” and “The Wedding Planner”, he admitted that he was ready for a change. In 2010, he said that he had refused an offer of a $14.5 million dollars paycheck to play a romantic character in another romcom. And yet, it turned out to be one of the best decisions he’s ever made in his entire acting career, with more dramatic, action-packed roles coming in, such as “The Lincoln Lawyer”, “Mud”, “Killer Joe”, and of course, the legendary 2013 biographical drama “Dallas Boys Club”, which won him an Academy Award for Best Actor. It was never known that McConaughey’s life was as dramatic as his movies and the actor is glad that the early encounters didn’t alter the gem of a person who he is today.
