A devoted animal lover named Luna recently embarked on an unexpected rescue mission after hearing unusual sounds coming from her woodshed.
Upon investigating, she was shocked to see a Siamese cat, all skin and bones, needing immediate attention.
Sadly, people abandon animals every day, but this kitty got extremely lucky for crossing paths with Luna and her family.
Luna and her daughter rescued the cat from their woodshed, determined to give her the help she so desperately needed. They affectionately named her Marshmallow.
Marshmallow was all skin and bones, showing that he had been starving for quite a long time. Heartbroken after seeing her in such a horrible condition, Luna and her daughter fed the cat and gave her water to prevent further dehydration.
The poor cat was so hungry that she couldn’t stop eating despite her tummy being full. So, Luna had to take away her food to prevent further health issues.
The next step was addressing her flea infestation. They bathed Marshmallow using flea treatment shampoo, slowly nursing her back to health.
After getting a warm bath, she snuggled in Luna’s daughter’s lap, craving love and attention.
What surprised Luna and her daughter the most was the cat’s charming personality. Despite being abandoned for too long and left to fend for herself, Marshmallow remained friendly and affectionate.
Luna couldn’t understand how anyone could abandon such a lovely Siamese feline. Fortunately, her struggling days were over as she was finally safe in a new home.
Luna’s daughter was determined to keep Marshmallow, and there was nothing Luna could do to make her change her mind.
That night, Marshmallow snuggled next to Luna in the bed, getting a well-deserved rest. Luna was charmed by Marshmallow’s gorgeous blue eyes, typical for Siamese cats.
However, after a closer look, Luna realized Marshmallow was a cross-eyed kitty. She tested her vision and was relieved to find it unimpaired.
The mother and daughter kept the cat overnight until taking her to the vet the next day for a thorough checkup. While hoping for the best, Marshmallow peacefully rested next to the people who gave her a new chance at life.
Luna noted that Marshmallow wasn’t too fond of the family dog or the other cats, but she was confident that with time, Marshmallow would adjust fully to her new furry siblings.
In the end, the most important thing is that Marshmallow was found on time and safely rescued. Luna hopes that the vet’s checkup will confirm a promising future for Marshmallow, allowing her to continue flourishing in her new, loving home.
