Meghan Markle Shares A Heartfelt Conversation She Had With Princess Lilibet

The royal family is always in the public eye, and sometimes that attention includes what happens behind closed doors. This was the case with Meghan Markle and a conversation she had with her daughter, Princess Lilibet.

After the Duchess of Sussex and her husband stepped down from their royal responsibilities, they moved overseas, eventually settling in the United States. During one of their travels, Meghan had a conversation with Lilibet, which she later shared.

On May 10, during a three-day visit that Prince Harry was making to Nigeria, Meghan Markle shared a heartwarming conversation she had with her two-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet.

While speaking to a kindergarten class, Meghan said: “Our daughter, Lili, she’s much, much tinier than you guys.” She then talked about an experience that happened just a few weeks earlier, when Lilibet looked into her mother’s eyes and saw her reflection. Lilibet said: “Mama, I see myself in you.”

Although Princess Lilibet meant her words literally, Meghan, at 42 years old, reflected on the deeper significance of what her daughter said. She responded: “Yes, I do see myself in you, and you see me in you.”

Meghan then turned to the children in the class and added: “As I look around this room, I see myself in all of you as well.”

While the couple was in Nigeria, they spent a lot of quality time with their children, including Prince Archie. They played games together and took part in singing and dance lessons. Meghan mentioned that dancing was Lilibet’s favorite class, saying: “Perhaps it’s all the hopping around.”

Generally, Meghan and Harry try to keep their family life private. However, they occasionally share glimpses of it. For instance, when the Duke of Sussex appeared on Good Morning America, he gave an update, saying the kids were doing well.

He added: “They both have an amazing sense of humor and make us laugh and keep us grounded every single day like most kids do.” He also expressed his gratitude, saying: “I’m just really appreciative to be a father.”
