The reality star and beauty mogul posted a series of images on Instagram to her 398 million followers.
In these photos, 27-year-old Jenner is seen wearing a white bikini top paired with a skirt that features a built-in belt, large diamond earrings, and a fashionable arm ring, also known as an armlet.
What caught everyone’s attention wasn’t the outfit but the backdrop—a fierce storm brewing in the background.
Jenner titled the post “Mother storm” and added cloud and lightning bolt emojis for effect.
Fans of the Kardashian star quickly voiced their concerns. Many pointed out the potential danger of her pose, where she’s seen leaning on a metal railing during the thunderstorm.
One worried follower wrote: “Holding on to a metal railing during a lightning storm is crazy.”
Lightning and metal surfaces are a dangerous combination, and Kylie Jenner might need a reminder of that.
The risk of electrocution was real when Jenner leaned on a metal railing on a yacht during a storm.
According to Weather.gov, “Lightning can travel long distances in wires or other metal surfaces. Metal does not attract lightning, but it provides a path for the lightning to follow.”
“Most indoor lightning casualties and some outdoor casualties are due to conduction. Whether inside or outside, anyone in contact with anything connected to metal wires, plumbing, or metal surfaces that extend outside is at risk.”
“This includes anything that plugs into an electrical outlet, water faucets and showers, corded phones, and windows and doors.”
Jenner’s post on social media came shortly after her appearance on the cover of British Vogue, where she discussed regaining her pre-baby body following the birth of her second child, Aire.
Jenner, a mother of two—six-year-old daughter Stormi and two-year-old son Aire—shares her children with Travis Scott.
She has been dating actor Timothée Chalamet since April 2023.
