Margot Robbie, who plays the lead role of Barbie, is shown in the latest trailer from the calf down, leaving fans intrigued and speculating about what’s in store for the iconic doll’s latest cinematic adaptation.
In the new Barbie movie trailer, viewers get a glimpse of Margot Robbie’s legs as she confidently struts across the screen in heels, only to effortlessly step out of them, revealing her seemingly physics-defying insteps.
This particular shot has caused a stir on Twitter, with many expressing their eagerness to see Robbie’s feet in action, even jokingly suggesting they would pay for a cinema ticket just for that.
While it may sound peculiar, numerous fans took to social media to praise the feet of the Birds of Prey star, with one user even tweeting:

In 2021, when Quentin Tarantino was asked to address accusations of having a foot fetish in his films, the director of the 2019 movie Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, which prominently featured Margot Robbie’s bare feet, responded: “There’s a lot of feet in a lot of good directors’ movies.”
This comment seems to suggest that foot-focused shots are not exclusive to his films, but rather a common element across various directors’ works.
“Before me, the person foot fetishism was defined by was Luis Buñuel, another film director. And Hitchcock was accused of it and Sofia Coppola has been accused of it,” Tarantino said in defense of foot-focused shots in his films.
Whether or not Greta Gerwig, director of Barbie, will join that list of directors remains to be seen. However, it’s clear that people who appreciate feet are avid cinema-goers.
If audience interest in feet is any indication, Barbie could very well be a blockbuster success. Hollywood may want to take note – apparently, it’s not sex that sells, but feet!
