Realme GT 5G spotted on Geekbench

With just 4 days left for the official launch event, the first retail box pictures of the Realme GT 5G smartphone have surfaced on Weibo (a Chinese alternative to Twitter). Not only this, this upcoming 5G smartphone was recently listed on the benchmarking website “Geekbench” by the model number RMX2202. As per the listing, the most eye-catching specification is the presence of 12 GB of RAM. The listing also suggests that this 5G smartphone will be available in leatherback in addition to the regular glass back variant. This phone is expected to be launched on March 4, 2021, in China.


Oppo’s Ex-VP shared the first images of the retail box unit on the social media

The first images of the retail box unit of this smartphone were posted on the Chinese microblogging site ”Weibo” by Oppo’s ex-Vice President Brian Shen. The box seems to house the “Bumblebee” leather edition. According to the sources, this special edition could be named “Realme GT Ares Special Edition-Dawn”. In another photo posted by Mr. Shen, the smartphone is seen flaunting the back panel of its leather variant. The pictures soon went viral on the Internet creating much hype among smartphone consumers.

This upcoming 5G smartphone was recently spotted on the benchmarking website ”Geekbench”. According to the website, the phone was able to grab a score of 1138 with single-core and a score of 3572 with multi-core. Apart from the benchmarking scores, the listing reveals that Realme GT 5G will come with 12 GB of RAM. The phone is likely to run on the Snapdragon 888 processor (the listing carries the code word “Lahaina”. This upcoming 5G phone runs of the latest version of Android i.e. Android 11. As of now, no additional details regarding price, battery life, and camera specifications are available on the Internet.
