Xiaomi has been smart with it’s Me You I. MIUI new updates to cover Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A. Users can look forward to MIUI 12.5 by the end of 2021. Xiaomi is a popular electronics company. If you haven’t heard the name yet, lift the rock you are living under and read on. Xiaomi is a China based enterprise that’s known for its products like smartphones, bags, and laptops. The mobiles from the brand have SoC aka system on chip features.

Back in 2011, Xiaomi launched its first smart handset and since then, the sky is the limit. The company is dealing with smartphones and has markets in all parts of world. The intervals between the new releases and updates shrink every year. It all depends on the customer and user base. If the services provided are well received and feedbacks have minimal complaints, it can only make a company earn profits.


To provide its customers with a better user and interface experience, Xiaomi has come up with an Android software. MIUI (Me You I) is an alternative operating system for Android users. Xiaomi smartphones get updates on both Android OS and MIUI. MIUI has attracted its fans in masses and they look forward to MIUI updates more than Android OS updates.

Updates on Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A

Redmi 7A has received an update from Xiaomi and now it can function on MIUI 12 update. Xiaomi didn’t stop at that, but the company is providing updates to Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A. Redmi 8 and 8A had received updates of Android 9 and MIUI 10, but as per recent reports the smartphones can be updated to function on latest Android 10 and MIUI 12. Some countries for example, China and adjoining regions have started to receive the updates, and hopefully other countries including India will have the same news to cover. Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A users can also expect MIUI 12.5 update by the end of this year if not Android 11.
