Rapper Cardi B has got an offer which will be her first starring movie role in the comedy named “Assisted Living”. The movie will be produced by Paramount Pictures.

Cardi will be seen playing a small-time crook who finds herself in a mess when a heist goes wrong. To run from the cops and her crew, she disguises herself as an elderly woman in her grandmother’s nursing home. The film takes inspiration from comedies like “Sister Act” and “Mrs. Doubtfire.” Kay Oyegun had written the original screenplay that Paramount bought in a bidding war that was getting competitive in 2019. No director has been set, but Temple Hill and Stephen Love are producing it.

Cardi’s previous acting endeavors

Cardi B debuted in a feature film “Hustlers” in 2019, landing a small role as a stripper at the club that employed Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu’s characters. The Grammy winner will also be seen in the coming “Fast & Furious” sequel.  She was also a judge in the music competition “Rhythm + flow “, of which she was also the executive producer. She recently has a monster hit with Megan Thee Stallion last year with their song “WAP”, which broke records on the internet.

Cardi’s opinion about this new chapter

She has said that for the past few months she has been working on many new things and she hopes she will have a lot to offer in 2021. Cardi may be new to many things, but she is consistent and we all wish her nothing but luck on her new adventure.
