Dawn Wells, the actress who is popular for the role of Mary Ann in the 60’s sitcom “Gilligan’s Island” died on Wednesday, December 30 from Covid-19. The actress dies on Wednesday at 7.30 a.m. in Los Angeles from a cause related to Covid. Reports claim that she passed away peacefully, in no pain.

The actress was 82 when she passed away. She was born in Reno, represented her state as Miss Nevada in the 1959 Miss America pageant, then made the change in acting. She starred in shows such as “Maverick”, “Bonanza” and many other sitcoms before she bagged the role of Mary Ann beating 350 other aspirants.
In the show “Gilligan’s Island”, she played the role of a wholesome Kansas farm girl. The series is well-loved because it provided life lessons beyond the comedy.
