The “Fetish” singer emphasized the essential importance of voting in the US elections, sharing a pleading, requesting video post on her Instagram feed, in which she addresses her followers to cast their votes out in person, focusing on the voters from her home state Texas. She said that she is aware of many people having successfully cast their votes and is proud and happy but there are many people out there who haven’t voted either because they can’t or they don’t want to and refuse not to vote. She called out the people of Texas, Pennsylvania, and Florida and stated that “your voice matters.”

She also stated that so many people take it carelessly and think it doesn’t matter but every vote counts and other contests have also been this close before but this election will decide the future of America and this particular election has been building up a lot of tension between every American citizen and she pleads the viewers to go vote in person. The “Rare” hit singer is also currently a co-chair on former First Lady Michelle Obama’s We All Vote initiative. Though she hasn’t actively or officially endorsed or preferred any candidate, she made her distaste for Republican nominee Donald Trump publicly known during her Instagram live with fellow Biden supporter Timothée Chalamet, as reported by Elle.
