Eight people were injured when the gun fire with erupted at a suburban mall near to the Milwaukee. Investigators are working on to identify the suspect in the shooting at the Mayfair Mall said by the Wauwatosa Police Chief Barry Weber at a news conference on late Friday. He said that from the witnesses indicate that the shooter is a white male in his age must be 20s or 30s. Investigators are working on determining the identity of that suspect. Police said in a Facebook post that a preliminary investigation has led them to believe the shooting was not a random attack and it was the result of an altercation.
Steps taken by the Police and FBI
In the Facebook post they have said The Mayfair Mall property has been cleared and is secure. Mayfair Mall management has indicated that the mall will be closed for the three days. Law enforcement was personnel and it will remain at the mall into the night processing the scene. Weber said that the shooter was no longer at Mayfair Mall when Wauwatosa police officers arrived at the scene. There were seven injured adults and one injured teenager was transported to the hospital by Wauwatosa Fire Department.
According to the video footage
The FBI in Milwaukee tweeted that agents were now currently responding to support local law and enforcement tactical response to Mayfair Mall shooting incident. A heavy police and EMT presence responded that, according to footage from CNN affiliate in WISN. Police officers in tactical gear were seen entering the mall and at least five people were carried on stretchers to ambulances this has been reported by WISN. Austin Seybold at the age of 24 had said that he was locked down in the back room of the Finish Line store inside the mall.
Seybold had seen the customers running past the store. Employees starting rounding up the people inside the store and they took them into the back and locked them in the front gate. Seybold wrote to CNN via text message from the store.
