Rapper King Von was one of the two people who were fatally wounded during an early-dawn exchange of open fire outside an Atlanta hookah lounge on Friday. Two groups of men argued in the parking lot around 3.30 a.m. and it leads to shots being fired. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, was in charge of investigating the shooting as the police ended up firing they’re on the weapon; that four other people were badly hurt by the gunfire, they told sources. An off-duty officer who was working at the Monaco Hookah Lounge along with a patrolling officer had confronted the gunmen and triggered the gunfire, authorities said.
Suspects Detained, Officers Escape Uninjured
The investigators believe that King Von was shot during the period of the initial shootout between the two young group of males, just before the police interference to stop the shooting. King Von wasn’t at the scene at that time, but had arrived at a hospital sometime after the shooting had quieted down. The GBI also say that three people had died, but Atlanta’s police personnel claim that only two died- King Von and another citizen. Police had found 3 men with gun wounds who were taken to the hospital and took them in as suspects. Four people are being treated in downtown hospitals, with one critically ill and others stable. No officers were injured in the incident, sources confirm. They had also detained two people near the lounge who had the possibility of facing charges.
