Yung Bleu, a rapper from Mobile, Alabama, had the shock of his life when he realized that he had missed a FaceTime call from Drake. The 26-year-old rapper had sent a verse from his latest album, and Drake was calling to speak about its remix. The verse was from Bleu’s tormented Love Scars: The Five Stages of Emotion track You’re Mines Still. The song is about a viral confession about being the most toxic post-relationship guy. After processing the missed call, Bleu decided to try his luck and reach out to him again.

How did Drake get on board?

Yung Bleu released his Love Scars: The Five Stages of Emotion project earlier this month. Little did he know that a few weeks later, Drake would want to create a remix of one of his songs! On 9th October 2020, fans noticed that Drake had followed Yung Bleu on Instagram. Soon after, the latter posted a screenshot of their conversations, which showcased Drake’s willingness to send over vocals for the remix collaborations. Bleu admitted that Drake sent the vocals over within hours. He had honestly thought the project would take at least three to four months. Further, he gave due credit to NBA star DeMarcus Cousins for initiating the conversation and making it happen.

Yung Bleu’s steady growth
